How do I order a Moby Subscription eBike?

You must order online, we are based in Glasnevin. On the DCU Alpha Innovation Campus.  However orders must be placed online and we cannot accept orders at our warehouse & service centre.

Collection or delivery will be arranged via email or chat once order confirmed, we welcome you to collect for fastest service.

Is there an app?

Yes but only for our public bike scheme MOBY MOVE, now operating in Dublin city centre. Download on sign up on app.mobymove.com.

What is the minimum contract duration?

If you plan to buy an ebike in the future, or just want to try the service we offer short term contracts of 1/3/6 months. Our 12 month annual contract offer the best value.

What are the MOBY eBike subscription prices?

If you’d like your own electrice bike, we offer subscription plans, from €79 per month, monthly recurring for 12 months. Depending on availability you can sign up for 1, 3 or 6 months too. We  offer a high end, high spec electric bike for €50 per week also.

Do you sell electric bikes online?

Not currently. We just ‘rent’  electric bikes on subscription model. We are planning to launch our online store soon with an exclusive range of well-priced electric bikes, for now we have two models available on subscription plans.

If you’d like your own electric bike, we offer subscription plans, from €79 per month, monthly recurring for 12 months. You can sign up for 1, 3 or 6 months also. Shorter contracts can be cancelled any time and returned to us.

We offer a high end, high spec electric bike for €50 per week also for delivery drivers

How long does the subscription last?

Subscriptions are billed  once a month on recuring basis. If you sign up for 1,3 or 6 months and want to cancel, simply return the bike to us and your subscription will not be billed the following month.

Do I bring the bike home?

Yes for the duration of the subscription on the MOBY+ & MOBY+ PRO plan the bike is yours. You take it home and look after if safely as it were yours, when you need a service, we’ll arrange it with you.  When you want to cancel, arrange to return.

MOBY MOVE is our Licenced Dublin City electric bike scheme, if you download the app and signup, you can rent an ebike when you like. This is different to MOBY+ where there ebike is yours to keep for the duration of the subscription. 

Where can I ride my bike?

The MOBY+ & MOBY+ PRO ebikes are yours to keep for the duration of the contract. That means the bike is yours, and your responsibility. That means when you collect your bike you’ll be provided with a charger that comes with the bike. You should store the bike safely and securely under lock and key in your home. When your battery is low, you simply plug in the charger in your home and plug the bike into the charger!

What happens if my bicycle is stolen?

You must lock and store the bike securely at all times in a responsible manner as if it was your own bike. If you fail to do so and if the bike is then stolen you will be fined upto €300 per (€600 for MOBY+ PRO subscriptions) the terms and conditions of your subscription. We provide you with a very secure lock and guidelines on how to lock safely. Some of the bikes are GPS tracked but this doesn’t guarantee they will be recovered.

In the event of the loss or theft of the Bicycle and/or the battery, you are obliged to report this to MOBY Bikes within 24 hours. Depending on the circumstances of loss or damage or the bike is unrecoverable, you will owe a deductible of upto €300 MOBY+ /  €600 MOBY+ PRO. Your deposit will be considered the first €100 of any cost owed.

How do I charge the my electric bike?

The MOBY+ & MOBY+ PRO ebikes are yours to keep for the duration of the contract. That means the bike is yours, and your responsibility. That means when you collect your bike you’ll be provided with a charger that comes with the bike. You should store the bike safely and securely under lock and key in your home. When your battery is low, you simply plug in the charger in your home and plug the bike into the charger!

What happens if my bicycle breaks down?

We’ll fix or replace it. We’ve a team of mechanics and operations on the ground in Dublin 9, maintaining our fleet or MOBY MOVE public bikes. So just simply return the bike to our depot and we’ll service it when you need it.

What about wear & tear?

Normal wear & tear is expected, and will be accessed in accordance with your subscription duration. If scratches, small damage and wear & tear, exceed with that which would be normally expected, this will be determined by our head mechanic and deducted from your security deposit.

What happens if my bicycle breaks down?

Is it available outside Dublin?

We are based in Dublin, in order to maintain or fleet of bike and offering free servicing to our subscription customer, they need to Dublin based. If you  live outside Dublin, you can still order from us but you’d need to collect the bike and servicing will be at your expense. 

Are bike available now?

Our next shippment due is mid October. We will also have a large order in November. We have a steady stream of bikes and people who sign up typically dont have to wait too long. Check with us on facebook or email if you’d like further clairty.

Sit tight we’ll contact you, please allow 1 business day for stock confirmation and arranging of collection or delivery. If you’d like to collect we are in Claremont Avenue, otherwise we’ll arrange collection or delivery with you.
